BEHIND THE LENS

My name is Madi Goodwin and I have been in love with photography for years.  I remember begging to buy disposable cameras when I was young, and that evolved into taking thousands of poor-quality images on my first phone.  This hobby bloomed steadily into a talent that I still love to utilize. 

​

I graduated from Denbigh Baptist Christian School in May of 2020. In 2020, I was accepted by New York Film Academy to attend a photography intensive workshop. Due to covid, this opportunity was unfortunately canceled.  Instead, I actively sought to gain experience by volunteering as a photographer and working with clients to build my portfolio. I did this while carefully reconsidering my plans for the future.

While photography is something I greatly enjoy, God had something bigger in mind for me.   He led me to a full-time position as an assistant store manager, and I absolutely love my job. On the side, I run the marketing and communications for Worship Arts Academy in Yorktown, VA. At the same Academy, I also teach private photography lessons for all ages! I will still gladly serve photography clients in my downtime.

Most of all, I cannot wait to meet with each of my clients while working hard to capture their beautiful memories (or teaching them how to grow as a photographer) ♡
